Classic Red Lip Tutorial
Hello guys! I am back with another tutorial! This was a tutorial I had had in the back of my mind that I wanted to do. Plus I felt bad that I took forever to get my last tutorial up, and when it did, it was pretty short in comparison to my other posts. So today I am going to do another tutorial. This one is way more in depth and detailed, and it's just more fun than the last one I did. I hope you guys enjoy it!
So here's what you're going to need for this look!
I'm going to be completely honest when I say that this look can be achieved with other products. So if you don't have something, don't fret. Nothing is so important that you have to have that certain product. I like to mix up my drugstore products with my higher end stuff. Like I literally have an eyeshadow palette that cost me a dollar next to one that cost me more than $50. That's just my taste, but if you have something else that works for you, then by all means, use it.
What I did first was I used my concealer as a foundation. I didn't want to look too cakey with this look, so I opted for a concealer to just hide my trouble spots instead of putting on foundation. I used the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the shade Medium.
It's a habit of mine to let my foundation or concealer to dry before I put on any other face products, so I start on my eyes at that point. I used three shades in the Naked 2 palette, so here's what colors I used, just in case you want to look for these colors in a cheaper version.
I used the shades Chopper, Bootycall, and Half-Baked. I think it's a little hard to see what the names are, but they are the second to fourth colors pictured. I start with Bootycall. I apply it all over my eyelid, just to serve as a base color to make blending easier as I move on. Then I take Chopper and apply it to the outside corner of my eye and in the crease, right above Bootycall. I then take a fluffy brush and I get Half-Baked, and I just lightly apply it to where ever Chopper isn't. That way, it looks like Half-Baked transitions to Chopper nicely.
I then take my E.L.F liquid eyeliner and I lightly line my top eye lid. Liquid eyeliner is so hard to master when you first get it, but it looks so good on the eyes. I prefer the E.LF one over any other liquid eyeliner I have ever tried. It's so cheap and it works amazingly! After you're done with your eyeliner, I use the Roller Lash mascara to give my eye lashes a false lash look. If you don't have $24 to spend on the Roller Lash, I would recommend the Maybelline Lash Sensational or the Covergirl Lash Blast Volume. These are the best drugstore mascaras I've tried.
With all of that done, here's what your eyes should look like
It looks almost like a champagne color, and it looks super natural. I like to play up one feature when I'm doing makeup. So if I go for a bold lip, I'll make sure not to overdo it on the eyes, and vice versa.
For the first time ever I actually tried doing my eyebrows. All I did was fill them in. I used the L.A Colors Trendy palette that I literally picked up at a Dollar Tree. I use the dark brown color to fill in my brows. Here's what it looks like.
It's the shade on the bottom row, second to last. It is the darkest brown in the whole collection, and it's almost the color of my brows. I've got dark eyebrows! But it works to fill them in and give me a natural look. I take an eyeliner brush and apply it to my eyebrows until I am happy with how they look. For you that maybe different than me, so I won't say how much I used.
Now that my eyes and my eyebrows are done, I will go back to my face! I will take the Maybelline Fit Me blush in the shade Light Pink and apply it to the apples of my cheeks. I know some people prefer to apply blush right under the apples, but I think it looks better when you apply it to the apples of the cheek. That's just my personal taste. I feel like I am saying that a lot in this tutorial. I should just call it the "My Personal Taste Tutorial." ;)
Once I am done with my blush, I will go to my lips! I am using the NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Red Velvet. What I love about Butter Glosses is that they actually smell like what the name is, so this smells like red velvet cupcakes when you apply it. Which is amazing for me because red velvet is like the only cake I will actually eat! Soo good!
The only thing about the butter glosses is that it goes on really lightly, so I find I have to keep reapplying until I get to a good color. I don't mind it because it smells so good as I am applying it. But if this is a problem for you, any true red color will be a good replacement for what I'm using.
Once you're done with the lips, your look is done! Here's the final product!
Thanks so much for reading this! I hope you all are having a great Sunday!

Lazy Day Makeup
Why hello there again! I am (finally) going to do the tutorial I have been meaning to do for ages now. At first I didn't know what kind of makeup I wanted to do for this tutorial, but my inspiration came from this past week being so stressful! From exams to planning for next week, I have just been swamped this week! When that happens, I tend to get really lazy on my makeup. For me. I just need to look presentable and I am out the door. So I wanted to show you guys what I do for the ultimate lazy day as far as my makeup goes! I hope you enjoy :)
First things first, when it's a lazy day, I don't wear foundation. I know, that may seem weird, but I don't. I instead opt for a concealer and primer, this way I don't feel coated in foundation. Because I am too lazy for that to be honest. XD. I use the Rimmel London Stay Matte primer. I really like how this one isn't silicon based. Silicon is great for dry skin types that are wanting a dewy to natural finish. I however, do not fall into either of those lines, so I opt for a more cream like consistency like the Rimmel one. As for concealer, I use the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the shade Medium. I really love the whole Fit Me line. It is something I would definitely recommend to someone who has troubles finding their shade in anything. That's always an issue for me, so I just love this line from Maybelline.
Next I use the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I am going do a review on this product in the nearby future, because I feel like I have a lot to say about this product. But for this look today, it's perfect. It gives me a natural look while still making my lashes look longer and more defined. I apply like 3 coats of this mascara and then my eyes are good!
To finish off the look, I use a Revlon lipgloss in the shade Pink Petal. This is almost sheer, expect it does have a slight nude pink affect. My lips are naturally on the darker pink side, so this lipgloss makes my lips appear lighter. I love this lipgloss to put over a lipstick so that I get some shine on my lips, or on its own for a natural look.
And here is the result! I know, so shocking ;)
Thanks so much for reading this little post! I hope all of you are having a great and lazy day! I will see you guys on Sunday for a brand new post!
Here is my question for the post!

Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial!
Hey everyone! I am back this week for a makeup tutorial! I figured since this Saturday is Valentine's Day, I would do a nice, simple look. Now I personally do not have a Valentine this year, but I think that Valentine's Day isn't just about a romantic love, it can be love of any kind. I know that it is advertised and marketed as a "Lover's Day" but I love hanging out with friends and catching up. Let's celebrate all love, whether it be romantic or not. Okay, mini-rant done. Now onto the look!
Here's what I used. If you have something that works better for you, then by all means, use it. And if you don't want to use everything that I did, as in, I used more products than you are comfortable with, just know that there are little shortcuts you can take, and I'll be sure to share those with you guys! I personally wanted to play with all my stuff, so maybe I went a little product crazy. But you can achieve this look with less stuff on.
Okay so to start, I primed my face. I, however, forgot to picture my primer! I use the Rimmel London Stay Matte primer. I find that with certain foundations that I need a primer that is more matte in finish. But other times, I need a more natural primer. This time, I need a matte primer because the foundation that I am going to be using is more of a natural to dewy finish. If you have dry skin, however, I recommend not using a matte primer, in fact I wouldn't use a primer at all. But I am not that fortunate, so I use primers.
After I am done priming my face, I put on my foundation. I am going to use the Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation in the shade 202 Nude. I like this foundation because it's a light finish. It's not super heavy coverage, which I like because I don't need a lot of coverage. I will spread this foundation all over my face with a brush. I will also put whatever is left on the brush onto my eye lids so that my eyes don't look tired. This also acts as an eye shadow primer. It allows the color of the eye shadow to stay on longer.
Next I will take my concealer and just lightly apply it under my eyes. I use the NYX HD concealer in the shade CW 04 which is like a light beige color. In order to make the concealer look natural, you want to make sure you apply it in a triangle formation from the corner to your eye to the nose, with the top of the cheek bone the hypotenuse, or the long part of the triangle. Apply this evenly in the triangle formation. From there, I get a little bit of foundation on the brush again and conceal the triangle. I do this because I want a more natural finish with my makeup. You can skip this part of you want a highlighted look under your eyes. I like to highlight my eyes only if my dark circles are bad. Otherwise, I prefer a natural look.
Once the concealer is done, I will allow my face to dry a little and I work on my eyes. I start with eyeshadow. I used the NYX Single eyeshadow in the shade Iced Mocha. I liked this one because it gives a light smokey look without overdoing the smokey part. It just gives my eyes, in my opinion, a little pop of color. I apply this evenly through my eyelid. After that, I use the Avon Quad and I will use a taupe color to put in the crease of my eye. This gives the eyes a natural transition color from the part without any eyeshadow to the part that has more eyeshadow.
With the eyeshadow being done, I will take my E.L.F liquid eyeliner and very lightly line my upper lids only. I don't know if it's just a me thing or not, but I do not like the look of mascara or eyeliner on my lower lid. I love it on some people, but on myself, it just doesn't look right. At least I think so. After I am done with my eyeliner, I will take my Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara and put it on my top lashes. I am literally in love with this mascara at the moment. It is really high quality for being a drugstore mascara.
I will let my eye lashes dry and I will finish my face. I will take my Too Faced Soul Mates blushing bronzer in the shade Carrie & Big and I will apply this evenly on my face. I'll be honest, I primarily bought this bronzer because it was called Carrie and Big, which is my absolute favorite couple from a TV show ever. There's another one in the series called Ross & Rachel but the blush is more pink and the bronzer is darker than I wanted. Carrie & Big was love at first sight for me. If you like your bronzer on the more dark side, then I would recommend Ross & Rachel for you.
Once the bronzer is applied to my liking, I will take my E.L.F HD Blush and squeeze out a very small amount of it onto my hand. When I say a little amount, I literally mean a small amount. Like the size of an o onto my hand. It is actually super pigmented and a little goes a long way with this blush. I use the shade Headliner, which is a very light, neutral pink. Like I said before, I want a natural, soft look. If you were to buy anything from this tutorial, I would say get this blush. It's a steal at $3 at Target! So I will apply this to the apples of my cheeks and work some of it up in a half circle motion. I will try to work it until my hairline, just so that the blush looks like it came out of no where. Plus, if you wear your hair down, no one will ever see the blush by your hair.
We are almost done! Once I am done with my face, it's time to set everything with a pressed powder. I use the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder in the shade 001 Transparent. I don't want to alter the color of my face at all, so a transparent, or translucent powder is good to set it with.
To finish off the lips, I will use the NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Vanilla Cream Pie. I used a sheer pink look to just make the look have a feminine and girly touch. You could also use a nice red berry lipstick or lipgloss. I currently don't have any of those colors, so I went for a nice pink.
And TA-DA!
