My Current Obsessions!

Hey guys! I have missed writing on the blog so much! I know I kind of focused on my YouTube channel more than this format, but I really do miss writing and using this blogging format. So today, I decided to do a post dedicated to all of the things I am currently obsessed with! I used to do "What Am I Listening To" posts way back when, but I decided to broaden my horizons a bit and share everything I am currently into! If you guys check any of this stuff out, be sure to let me know!

Music

I am going to start off with what I used to do most, talk about music! I am going to try and link a playlist of everything I have been obsessed with, but I am not sure how it's going to work because I recently switched from Spotify to Apple Music, but I'll still try!

(LOL I got it to work!)

I recently talked about my newfound obsession with Hippo Campus on Twitter, so I won't go too into why I think they're awesome! But you should definitely check them out if you're into Alternative music like me!

I included a bit of Elton John's music in here because I am ANXIOUSLY waiting to see the new movie based on his life called Rocketman! By time this post goes live, I will have already seen it. But I have been waiting for this movie to come out for sucha while now. I absolutely love Elton John as a performer and an artist, and I'm so excited to see some of the stuff he was going through behind the scenes. As well, I think Taron Egerton is super cute, and Richard Madden is in this so, it's really like a treat to my eyes to see this movie.

Tyler the Creator just recently came out with a new album, and I have to say, it's so good! I have never been a huge fan of his, but his newest album is a true testament to his sheer talent and creativity. I would recommend the song I chose, which closes the album. The whole album is a journey of love and loss, and I love how it ends with something as simple yet so daunting as "Are we still friends?" As well, I would also recommend I Think and Earfquake. I am such an album person, in the sense that I love listening to albums from start to finish if I'm listening to it for the first time. And I appreciate artists that set up their album to be a journey from start to finish, like the songs aren't in random order. By the end of the album, you feel like you've gone on this journey with him too, and I love that he did that.

I normally only go into three specific songs/artists in these posts, but since I didn't really delve into Hippo Campus, I am going to add a bonus section here for James Bay. His second album actually came out a while ago, but just in the last couple months, I have grown obsessed with a couple songs off the album. I love how his second album is more experimental than his first one. His first album was more mellow and calm, whereas this album plays with different sounds and different feelings, while still very much so sounding like something James Bay would put out. Like it feels honest to his identity as an artist while still branching out and trying new things. My favorite is Fade Out but Pink Lemonade is the best song to listen to while you're driving around.

YouTube

I have recently become obsessed with health and fitness! I think the best way to stay motivated about going to the gym and eating right is to surround yourself with things that keep you motivated. With that being said, my favorite discovery is a Canadian YouTuber named Keltie O'Connor.

I love that she is honest with her videos, but she doesn't lose her fun and energetic spirit along the way. She pokes fun at herself while embarking on several challenges. As well, she is real about fitness. She is very knowledgeable about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, and it never feels like a glamorous interpretation of fitness. She is 100% real and fun, and when I first discovered her, I couldn't help but fall in love with her enthusiasm. If you're looking for a fitness YouTuber to binge for several hours, look no further than Keltie O'Connor.

Someone that I recently discovered as well is actually someone that is already kind of famous! I discovered Emily DiDonato's channel in a long binge one night, and I found her adorable Pisces self so relatable and cute. If you didn't already know, Emily is the face of Maybelline cosmetics. Even though I don't use too much Maybelline now, I still recognized her immediately, and I was curious about this person I had kind of assumed was this uber cool model. But once I actually started watching her channel, I realized how real she was. I didn't expect her to be as sweet as she is in her videos. She isn't like the best YouTuber in the world, but you can tell she's learning and getting more comfortable with YouTube and how she chooses to make her videos.

Celebrities

If you have read my Booksmart blog post, then you might already know what's coming, but incase you haven't, then let me introduce to you Diana Silvers. She is the projected Breakout Star of the Summer, and for good reason. She had a small role in Booksmart, and is the star of the horror film Ma. Although I haven't seen Ma yet, I do intend to! But what made me love her is how sweet and funny she is on her socials. I follow her on Instagram and Twitter, and I think she is adorable. Plus she's freaking gorgeous! I look forward to seeing more of her in films.

Thank you guys so much for taking some time out of your day to read this post! I hope you guys enjoyed. If you did, feel free to leave a comment down below, and let me know what you're currently obsessed with!

And with that, I'll see you in my next post!
