Date Night Ideas

Hey guys! Long time, no see! Today's post is something a little different to my blog. As you may know, the year is about to end, and the new year is about to begin. And with the new year beginning, Valentine's Day is right around the corner. It is so easy to lose time whenever the new year rings, so today I am going to share some ideas I have for a nice date night for you and your partner. If you're super single like me, then some of these ideas could be used for a friend's day.

This post is in collaboration with Turo. They are a car renting company that offers people the opportunity to rent cars, or if you've got a car that isn't getting much love, you can let people rent your car and get some money! It's like an Uber, but you don't have to sit with someone you don't know and make casual conversation with. If you would like to check them out, here is the link the their website.

 Now onto the post :)

Idea #1: Grocery Shopping

This might sound like the lamest idea ever, but hear me out. I have always wanted someone, whether that be a significant other or a best friend, who could make the mundane things in life fun. So put it to the test! I saw something on Facebook the other day about a Target date where each person gets $5 and 30 minutes to browse the store, looking for something the other person might like. You could do something like that. Another idea I had was you and your partner make a list of all the things you need from said store. Each person gets a list and 30 minutes. The person who gets the most items on the list first, or whoever completes the list first, gets to pick dessert. You can obviously change the reward to something you and your partner would really like. But that is just an overview of the game.

Idea #2: All About Your Partner

Everyone in the world loves to be treated like they are special. So if it's your turn to plan date night, why not make the date revolve around the things your partner likes? If you are dating someone who loves to watch basketball, take your partner to a local game. If your partner likes wine, take them wine tasting. Plan the day with things you know your parnter likes. You know what would make this day even better? Renting a nice car to top off the evening. If you partner is anything like me, then they would love a nice night driving around, blasting songs that were popular ten years ago, and just talking. How much fun would that be in a convertible? Or maybe even a sporty looking car?

Idea #3: Make a Night In Exciting

Netflix and Chill is cool, but making a night in feel nicer than a 5 star restaurant is even better. This doesn't have to mean going all out on decorations and choosing the nicest meal you can think of. This could mean getting take out and playing a game. This could mean watching Netflix and lighting your partner's favorite scented candle. It means so much more when you go the extra mile. In the case of staying in, details are everything. If the vibe of the date is more on the casual side, your partner could get the wrong idea. So let them know you care! Staying in is a great way of getting to know someone better, so make sure you get it right.

Thank you so much for reading! As well, thank you to Turo for reaching out to me. I hope that you find them to be as cool as I think they are.

Thanks again, and I will see you soon. Let me know if you have any easy date night ideas in the comments below :)
